I love cameras. They are my one financially crippling addiction. I will never be seen on the floor of a Lexus dealership because there is ALWAYS something else I’d rather be buying. Maybe a new lens, a new camera body, or a case or a tripod, or a new portable hard drive,,,,,

OK. Maybe I love more than just cameras to the point of addiction.

So what’s driving my fixation on these little boxy things and all that supports their use? Simple enough. There is no better way, for me at least, to have something to show for myself over the course of a lifetime and beyond, than by making photographs. Every photo I take is evidence that I was at a certain place at a certain time. What I saw and how I interpret it in the final print may be all that remains of who I was and what was important to me. For such things, we all tend to spare no expense.
